Principal Architect / Technical Architect - Performance Engineering

As a Principal Architect / Technical Architect - Performance Engineering you will be responsible for architecting business critical applications and providing optimization solutions to achieve Performance and Scalability goals for mission critical applications, involving large scale and complex deployment for our clients. You will review the architecture of large Enterprise systems involving high transaction volumes & provide / implement recommendations for performance improvements. You will also act as a technical lead / mentor and will research, develop and evangelize pre-built Performance Engineering point solutions. You must have strong fundamentals in object-oriented concepts, architecture, OS internals and design frameworks & patterns. You would be required to work on cutting edge technologies such as Grid Computing across industry verticals, as well as provide thought leadership and influence industry PoV. Overall 5-15+ years experience with at least 4 of the following skills: * Code optimization, tuning complex queries or guiding software development / architecture teams in improving application performance on platforms such as J2EE, .NET, Open systems * Performance Engineering techniques such as Workload Modeling, Performance Modeling & Capacity Planning * Understanding of performance and scalability of enterprise applications and related usage of hardware system resources * Performance tuning of Middleware technologies such as WebSphere, WebLogic, SunOne, MQSeries, TIBCO, MSMQ etc. * Expertise in database performance characteristics that impact application performance & in DB access / design optimization for Oracle / Sybase or MS SQL * performance tuning / analysis tools: Symanteci3, JProbe, JProfiler, Optimizeit, ITCAM, Wily Introscope, OEM, ANTs, FxCop, etc. * Involved in large application benchmarks / Performance Simulations / Stress tests.
