Shell Technology centre Bangalore, STCB, is a one of the three global hubs for technology, after Housto and Amsterdam, in the Projects & Technology business of Royal Dutch Shell. It seeks to deliver advanced technical studies, projects and services for Shell around the world as well as supporting Shell's interests in India. STCB has become home to a wide spectrum of technical disciplines. It develops niche areas of technical work in fields like coal bed methane, bitumen R&D and technical services. Carbon capture and sequestration, subsurface modeling and polyol technical services among others. Part of its programme provides cutting edge downstream research and development, as well as working with the latest upstream technologies and process. STCB provides access to cutting edge technical talent and resources to Shell worldwide. Currently employing around 800 professionals the centre has plans to grow to about 1500 in the near future.
