The Global Services Organization's (GSO) Spend Managers are a part of the Arib! a Managed Procurement Services team, which is the growing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) line within Ariba. Our customers strategically outsource to Ariba via long-term, outcome based contracts. Primary delivery of these outcomes is provided by a shared services organization, however, the Spend Manager's responsibilities include exceeding these outcomes through execution and coordination of the variety of delivery teams across Ariba's existing services. Spend Manager's must appropriately manage customer projects to exceed customer expectations, and will require a combination of hands-on execution and shared service coordination depending upon the situation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Client Facing, sub-project leadership for: Sourcing Opportunity Assessment
Development of yearly sourcing plans
Savings-driven execution of sourcing plans
Driving sourcing projects throu! gh client contracting. Project Plan management and! executi on. Internal and external status and formal program reporting. Development and delivery of materials describing Ariba capability and processes. Client change management support to ensure buy-in and project justification
On-going primary Ariba Point of Contact for customer business divisions and/or categories
All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS. BA/BS required, MBA preferred
Five (5) + years of experience required
Proven ability to influence and lead customer activities. Excellent project management skills
Proven presentation development and delivery skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to adapt to and handle a changing and fluid environment. Consulting experience a plus. Skilled in MS Office applications, with extensive experience with MSWord, M! SExcel, MSProject, and MS Power Point.
