Senior RF Engineer (India)Category: Information Technology Senior RF Engineer responsible for specification, design, development and validation of front end QAM, QPSK and OFDM systems in Set top box and multimedia systems. The Pace India engineering centre provides full end to end product designs as well as component and modular solutions to multiple Global customer account teams and core engineering teams. The successful candidate will need significant RF experience and a proven track record in development and working with multi-site, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams.
Principal responsibilities: Create specifications for hardware components and modules through an understanding of customer requirements.
Produce robust, well defined, documented, maintainable and cost effective designs that meet customer requirements and company quality and reliability standards. Create, simulate and verify designs using appropriate tools. Test, debug and validation of hardware prior to release. (including generation of Test plans)
Contribute to institutionalisation of disciplines, process & tools and ensure adherence to company development process. Participate in, and contribute to, formal design and project reviews.
Provide engineering support for existing deployed products. Desired Profile:Must be degree qualified in engineering related discipline. Must have 5+ years experience in RF circuit design, development and validation. (Principally a background in Cable TV, Broadband Wireless or Mobile Communications.)
Must have hands on experience of high-speed receiver circuits - System, Oscillator and PLL and Synthesis design over the frequency range 5MHz to 3 GHz, Must have hands on experience of RF Test methods & Test Equipment used in Receiver Circuit & System design. Must have experience of of Digital modulation schemes such as QAM, QPSK & OFDM.Must be a team player. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and reporting skills. Must have Good spoken English

Hardware Manager (India)Category: Hardware/Networking The Hardware Manager is responsible for the management of the hardware and design services teams in the Pace India offshore development centre in Bangalore. The Hardware Manager has responsibility for ensuring the hardware projects delivered from the centre are on time, of the agreed quality and at the agreed cost. Working with the senior management team to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure, capabilities, skills and capacity is available to deliver projects to the agreed program of work. The Pace India engineering centre provides full end to end product designs as well as component solutions to multiple Global customer account teams and core engineering teams. Responsible for ensuring that projects/deliverables from Pace India are delivered on time, at the agreed costs and of the agreed quality. Working as part of the senior management team in forecasting and planning capability and capacity of the hardware development teams in order to meet the agreed program of work. Identifying and planning a program of work with the Global customer account teams.(CATS) and core engineering teams.
Identifying and planning the infrastructure necessary to support the hardware engineering developments. Working with the General manager to establish and control the hardware budget
Recruitment, training and retention of staff.
Driving performance, efficiency, process and quality improvements throughout the organisation
Desired Profile. The successful candidate will need significant Experience and a proven track record in STB development and working with multi-site, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams. Must have 5+ years experience in STB or PVR hardware design. Must have a comprehensive understanding of high-speed digital and analogue design techniques. Must have a proven track record in leading a multi-disciplinary HW teams
