Hardware Architect

Category: IT - Embedded/EDA/VLSI

10+ years experience with systems level requirements specifications and architectural tradeoff analysis. Candidate should have experience in creating architectural specification documents to be used by systems engineers and the engineering development organization to specify, develop and deliver against the market and product requirements. Familiarity with the challenges and design mitigations of 10Gbps+ serial links. Knowledge of Ethernet, SONET, IP, Fibre Channel and OTN specifications and methodologies. Experience with packet based architecture, network processors, high speed memory interface. PLL design and characterization is highly desirable. Familiarity with relevant standards from IETF/EEE/ITU-T/OIF is desirable.

Board Design

Category: Hardware/Networking

8+ years experience in delivering complex board level Telecom or Datacom products. Candidate needs to demonstrate a systematic, data driven approach to real world design issues. Experience with packet based architecture, network processors, high speed memory interface. PLL design and characterization and serial data jitter analysis is highly desirable. knowledge of IP, SONET and Ethernet standards is desirable. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary product teams such as mechanical, software, architecture, ASIC and FPGA and also knowledge of NEBS compliance is required.

Design

Category: Design

2+ years experience in RTL/Synthesis based ASIC design methodology. Fluent in micro-architecture/logic design skills. Expertise in standard ASIC design flow including Verilog RTL & simulators, synthesis, formal verification, timing analysis, DFT methodologies & tools. Participation in multi-million gate deep sub-micron ASICs (90nm or below) is preferred. Knowledge of networking protocols/standards such as SONET, OTN/G.709, & Gigabit Ethernet/Fibre Channel is a plus.

Verification

2+ years experience in ASIC verification; Fluent in Verilog, C/C++, Perl/Shell/TCL scripts; experience with code coverage. Participation in multi-million gate ASIC verification in telecom/networking area preferred. Should have worked on developing test plans at module/chip-level and independently work from the chip specifications to execute verification test plan. Familiar with evolving verification technologies such as AVL & System Verilog. Knowledge of networking protocols/standards such as SONET, OTN/G.709 & Gigabit Ethernet/Fibre Channel is desirable.
