Published On: 30/09/2009 Research Scientist: Bio-medicalCategory: Research & Development Housed at PIC Philips Research Asia - Bangalore conducts Research in healthcare addressing the needs of patients and healthcare workers in emerging markets. Core research areas include Screening, Diagnosis and Disease Management. This is a multi-disciplinary group consisting of Medical Doctors, Bio-medical Engineers and Experts in Computer Science and Electronics. Education: PhD / Masters in Electrical Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Computer Science with specialization in signal processing pattern recognition. Knowledge of bio-medical engineering and instrumentation, bio-medical data analysis, is desirable. Experience: Minimum 5 years' research experience in the relevant area. * Propose novel methods for signal analysis especially bio-medical signals, requiring an in-depth knowledge of signal processing and pattern recognition techniques. * Propose system architectures for designing prototypes of bio-medical devices * Implementation of proposed methods to demonstrate proof of concept.
